Well the staff of ILoveAmusementParks.com had a great time on our recent trip to Dorney
Park & Wildwater Kingdom.
It was the first time some of us had been to the park and the first time some of us
had been to their Halloween Haunt.
The park was decorated and looked amazing. The best thing is that all the rides were
running, with the exception of maybe two. Obviously the water park and water based rides were not working. Why? It's October!
Okay, so the weather was beautiful but water rides would've been too much.
Dorney Park has a great variety of rides which ranges from the most gentle (the Carousel)
to the most extreme (Hydra, Dominator).
What is really impressive is that they have one of their original rides and it still
provides a thrill to young an old. I'm talking about The Whip. It's been in the park since the 1920's. I think that every
park in the world should have a whip. This simple ride is still a great and exciting experience for anyone.
The coasters at Dorney are great too. Steel Force at over 200 ft. tall to Talon the
inverted coaster to a classic woodie called Thunderhawk.
I also love the fact that the park is not dominated by coasters.
There are rides for everyone from The Whip to The Scrambler. Tilt-A-Whirl to Monster. Apollo to Dominator. Sea Dragon to Krazy
Kars and a whole lot more.
I highly recommend that everyone who can get to Dorney Park not miss the chance. Also
remember, in the summer they have Wildwater Kingdom which is a huge waterpark connected to the main park. Two great parks
in one. You can't go wrong with that.
See ya next season.
